Liberation

This morning I was talking to a friend about his problem. We decided to receive inspiration and guidance. So we became quiet and asked the question, what is his current attitude and what might it be to help him resolve the problem in the best way possible.

His problem was that he wanted to invite some of his friends up to a vacation home that he shared with his brother. When he spoke with his brother about the time he wanted, his brother told him he had already booked that time for himself.

We both felt that he was split inside about what to do. Part of him was angry and wanted to express his feelings to his brother. The other part of him wanted to let it go.

When we received what his attitude might be, it was one of lightness and freedom. We both received images and feelings. His image was of being in a space of translucent white light. My experience was of rising up into a space of blue and white. It reminded me of this picture, the Angel of the Waves.

Angel of the Waves

The first thing that occurs to me when I look at this picture is of a whale breaching - when they jump up out of the water. My guess is that they are playing and free.

In the center of this angel is a musical motif - it can look like a harp or organ pipes. It really affects me like music and I was singing when I had my receiving.

With most of the angels I start with bird wings. We relate to bird wings as something that can help us rise. All my life I’ve loved birds, especially fancy and beautiful birds. When I was little I used to make lots of drawings of birds, and became entranced with the Lyre bird and other birds, like the Peacock.

I get the bird wings from photographs of exotic birds. In this picture I melted and swirled pictures of bird wings and waves until they fit with the developing angel. The angel’s head is a luminous sphere.

I want to share with you some of the feelings I had when I made this picture and have when I look at it. I hope you will enjoy it as I do.
